Eileen Margaret Heslin, 89, born July 21,1933, in Manhattan, NY to the late John and Mary Donohue passed away peacefully on December 27, 2022 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-six years, Edward E. Heslin; their children Edward Heslin, Thomas Heslin, Eileen (Robert) Barry and John Heslin; and their grandchildren, Johnathan, Justin (Rachel), Jacob, Kristine, and Ryan.

She was a devoted sister to Stephen (Maureen) Donohue, Beatrice (Ronald) Palumbo, Agnes (Kevin) Courtney, and the late Mary Mullins, as well as her extended family of sister and brother–in–laws and many nieces and nephews.

Eileen was gracious and filled with compassion for others. She was a wonderful Mother, Wife and Homemaker, and gave generously of her time volunteering at local hospitals, supporting charitable organizations and the Parishes she attended throughout her life. Eileen enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to visit their families in New York and New Jersey. Christmas Holidays with the children and grandchildren were always special. She had a place in her heart for family and loved ones and was always ready to lend encouragement and a helping hand. She was an active member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Columbia, SC and enjoyed spending time with fellow parishioners at exercise class and after Mass. She will be dearly missed by friends and family.

Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements. A private graveside service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery at a future date.
