Elisabeth S. Snyder, 77, of Columbia, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013. Born on April 6, 1936, at Escherndorf, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Edmond and Rosa Keissner Seuberling. Mrs. Snyder worked with Wells Fargo and attended Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, William Snyder; daughters, Sylvia Rollison-Sieg of Lexington and Catherine Snyder-Lofland and husband, Lyon, of Texas; son, Eric Snyder and wife, Rebecca, of Lexington; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Hiltdrud (Roland) Illmer of Germany. In addition to her parents, Elisabeth was preceded in death by her son, Michael Snyder; and brother, Armin Seuberling.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Snyder will be celebrated 1 o'clock, Saturday, December 28th, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia, with Father David R. Whitman officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at noon. Final Commendation and Farewell Prayers will be said at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, 1 o'clock, Tuesday, December 31st. The family suggests that memorials be made to Lexington Medical Center Cancer Foundation, 2720 Sunset Blvd, West Columbia, SC 29169, or to Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Ln, Columbia, SC 29210.
