Elizabeth "Bettie" Blagg Hasty, 93, of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on January 22, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Robert F. Blagg and Ada Wilkins Blagg. Bettie was widowed by her loving husband, John M. Hasty. She was a member of North Trenholm Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina.

Bettie retired from The South Carolina Baptist Convention and enjoyed the friendships made there throughout her life. She enjoyed needlecraft and shared those skills with others.

Survivors include her children, Nan Hasty and Max Hasty; granddaughter, Erin Triber (Philip); great-grandsons, Eli Triber and Abe Triber.

The graveside service for Mrs. Hasty will be held at 1 o'clock, Monday, November 13th, at Mount Hope Cemetery, 100 Cherokee Rd, Florence, SC 29501. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
