Ms. Ellen D. Richardson, 84, of Columbia, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, September 14, 2013. Born in North, SC on June 23, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Davis and Texas Williamson Davis. Ms. Richardson had spent 40 years as a process server and was a very active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah R. Smith of Columbia; a son, Dale Richardson of Columbia; grandsons, Travis Smith, Brad Smith, and Jamie Richardson; great-granddaughter, Lila Bree Smith; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rosanell D. Poole, Thelma D. Lucas, Dorothy D. Livingston, and Della D. Lowman; brothers, Henry Davis, Jeff Davis, and Rudolph Davis.

A celebration of Ms. Richardson's life will be held at 3 o'clock, Tuesday, September 17th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with The Rev. Paul Wollner and The Rev. Kris Litman-Koon officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock. The family will also receive friends at the home of Deborah Smith on Monday evening.
