Eloise "Lisa" Oates Todd, 75, of Columbia, SC, was called to her eternal home on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was born in Anderson, SC on February 14, 1948, to the late Thomas McKee Oates and Eula Young Oates.
A native of York County, SC, Lisa graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1966 and graduated in 1969 from Winthrop University, where she studied mathematics. Following graduation, she married Calvin Todd and began her teaching career alongside him in ministry. She received her Master of Arts in Education from Winthrop University in 1981 and continued to teach throughout Calvin's pastorates until she retired in 2006. Lisa served faithfully in leadership positions in her schools, in her churches and within her denomination until Calvin's retirement in 2014 when they moved to Columbia, SC.
Beyond her love of teaching mathematics, Lisa was given many gifts and talents, most notably those of cooking and sewing. Her life was marked by a deep love of Christ, and it was this love which spurred her on in sharing her gifts and talents with those who knew her.

She is survived by a daughter, Rachel Hudson (Berry) of Lexington, SC; a son, Sam Todd (Louise) of Chapin; five grandchildren, Todd Hudson, Louisa Todd, Campbell Todd, Charlie Todd and Flora Todd; a sister, Jackie Thompson (Bob) and a brother, Mac Oates (Ruth).
