Elsie Brewer Wallace Hallman, 75, of West Columbia, died Saturday, May 24, 2014. Born in Richland County on March 31, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Earle and Mildred Lane Brewer. She was a loving mother of seven children who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughters, Jacqueline Miles of West Columbia, Sandra (Ricky) Harwell of Pelion, Merelyn (Kenneth) Winters of Elgin, Teresa Wallace of Batesburg, Bobbie Lynn (Dale Andrew) Hollman of Gaston; a sister, Edna DiTucci of Boston, MA; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildern; her aunt, Dot Branham of Columbia; as well as many other family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Simon Wallace; second husband, Bobby Earl Hallman; a son, Simon Earl Wallace; a daughter, Bobbie Jeanie Ruth Hallman; three brothers; and one sister.

Mrs. Hallman's service will be held at 3 o'clock, Saturday, May 31st at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock.
