Emily Alice Guilford Keogh, 84, of Columbia, died Sunday, May 10, 2015. Born September 10, 1930 in Walterboro, SC she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mazie Herndon Guilford. She was a member of North Trenholm Baptist Church and retired from the State Board of Nursing in 1992.

Survivors include her son, Ralph "Mel" Keogh, Jr. (Rachel) of Columbia; daughters, Susan Blackwood (Wayne) of Columbia, Lori Anderson (Kevin) of Chapin; sister, Celeste Cobb of Columbia; brothers, Billy Guilford (Barbara) of Walterboro, Bobby Guilford (Donna) of Stevensville, MD; grandchildren, Alissa DeLucio (Ed), Nathan Keogh, Melissa Bass (James), Michael McKinsey, Ashlee Anderson, Kristy Anderson; great-grandchildren, Ben DeLucio, Josh Bass, Hailey Bass, Ava McKinsey, Colton DeLucio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Melvin Keogh, Sr., and a grandchild Cassie Keogh.

The funeral service for Mrs. Keogh will be held at 2 o'clock, Tuesday, May 12th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with The Rev. R. Joseph Copeland and The Rev. Craig Deunsing officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock.
