Obituary

Eugene Harvey, 85, of Blythewood, died Friday, March 15, 2024. Born April 18, 1938, in Lyons, Mississippi, he was a son of the late Curly Harvey and Clara Mays Harvey. Mr. Harvey was a US Army veteran who proudly served his country. Prior to his retirement, he was a master brick mason with over 40 years of professional service. Mr. Harvey was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers Union in Illinois. He enjoyed listening to music and dancing.

Survivors include his sons, Eugene Anthony Harvey (Theresa) of Blythewood and Quentez Parker of Minnesota. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Curly Harvey and Jason Lee Harvey, as well as his brothers, David Harvey and Tommy Lee Harvey.

The graveside service for Mr. Harvey will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday, April 9th at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC.
