Mr. Evan Eugene Arnold, 68, of Columbia, died Thursday, October 8, 2015. Born on February 12, 1947, in West Palm Beach, FL, he was the son of Mrs. Margaret Weiss Arnold and the late Mr. Bert Arnold. Evan served the nation in the US Air Force, and after his military service, he worked for many years with his father in automotive rentals, and later, in logistics for H. Rubin Vision Centers. He was an avid Gamecocks fan and a member of Beth Shalom Synagogue. Evan will be especially remembered for the loving care he provided his parents, and he will be deeply missed by family and friends.

In addition to his mother, Evan is survived by his aunt, Bea Weinberg; cousins, Larry Weinberg (Nadine), Michael Arnold, Bernard Arnold, Sharon Arnold, and Penny Nadel; and by many friends. He was preceded in death by his father; and his dear friend, Dave Neiman.

A graveside service for Mr. Arnold will be held at 11 o'clock, Sunday, October 11th, at House of Peace Cemetery, 1300 Whaley Street, Columbia, with Rabbi Jonathan Case and Rabbi Hesh Epstein officiating. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, SC Division, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
