Farris Todd Griffin, 52, died at his home in Blythewood. Born in Okolona, Mississippi, he was a son of Farris Guy Griffin and Patricia Ann Wise Griffin Vandergrift. Todd worked in construction, most recently as an assistant vice president with Bonitz Contracting.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Husley Griffin of Elgin, SC; sons, Farris Casey Griffin of Columbia and Austin Matthew (Gennie) Griffin of Elgin; granddaughter, Ella Rae Griffin of Elgin; father, Guy (Ellen) Griffin of Lucedale, MS; mother, Pat Vandergrift of Pascagoula, MS; brother, Timothy (Carol) Griffin of Pascagoula, MS, John Tate (Kathy) Griffin of St. Angelo, TX; step-brother, Sam Vandergrift; step-sisters, JoEllen Dunston Hutchison and Diane Vandergrift Bishop; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Todd was preceded in death by his step-father, Sam Vandergrift; and step-brother, John Dunston.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Tuesday evening, November 3rd, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Rd Ext, Columbia. They suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Ln, Columbia, SC 29210.
