Obituary
Faye S. Jones Harris, 94, of Columbia, died on Friday, June 28, 2024. Born in Columbia, SC, on July 21, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Benjamin and Elen Agnes Turkett Jones. Mrs. Harris enjoyed volunteering at the VA Hospital and loved to be social whether it was at work or home.
Survivors include her children, George Duncan Grant, Jr. (Merrie), Patricia Grant Dukes (Michael) and Ronald Michael Grant (Katie); as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Harris; and youngest son, William Edward Grant.
No formal services will be held at this time. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
