Obituary

The Reverend Fr. Thomas Gordon Elliott, 90, of Toronto died Saturday, December 29, 2012. Born on November 11, 1922, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, he was a son of the late John Thomas Elliott and Florence Brown Elliott. A Canadian Air Force veteran, he proudly served during World War II. A much beloved priest, Fr. Elliott served in Peterborough and in the Toronto area for twenty-five years.

Survivors include his daughters, Mary Lynn Williams (Paul Mitchel), and Deborah Ruth Legris; grandchildren, Jason Williams, Marie Williams, Elvin Williams, Michael Williams, and Jonathan Williams; sisters, Gladys Cardy, Marion Orme; brother, Raymond Stockton; along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Rogers Elliott; sister, Viola Guy; and brother, Albert Elliott.

A Mass of Christian burial for Fr. Elliott will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, January 3, 2013, at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 10295 Yonge St., Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, with Father Bob Reddy officiating. Final Commendation and Farewell Prayers will be said privately with the family at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Bernard's Residence, 685 Finch Ave. W., North York, Ontario, Canada M2R 1P2.
