Mrs. Frances Justine Bischoffberger, 92, of Columbia, widow of the late John Edward Bischoffberger, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Born on February 17, 1921, in Edgefield, SC, she was a daughter of the late Francis Carey Quarles and Leora Walker Quarles.
A member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church since 1960, she was active in the Live Wire group and served on the Altar Guild. She loved her church community. Mrs. Bischoffberger also loved working in her yard and tending to her flowers.
Survivors include her daughters, Jo (Dan) Rodeheffer of Buena Vista, CO, Jan Davis of Columbia, SC; sons, Ed (Susan) Bischoffberger of Taylors, SC, Richard Bischoffberger of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Seth, Carey (Ryan), Dana, and Jeb; a great granddaughter, Annabelle. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lorene Able, Dorothy Wescott, and Blanche Guess.
A memorial service for Mrs. Bischoffberger will be held 4 o'clock, Saturday, April 6th, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3909 Forest Drive, Columbia, SC, 29204, with The Rev. Kris Litman-Koon officiating. The family will greet friends at the church beginning at 3 until 4 o'clock. Memorials may be made to the church.
