Obituary

Frances Rabon Gregory, 92, of Lexington, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018. Born in Columbia, SC, on June 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Henry Arthur and Annie Howell Rabon.
Mrs. Gregory was the matriarch of her family and a homemaker most of her life. At age 56, she returned to the workforce after taking computer classes and was employed by Central Midlands Council of Governments and later for the Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities.
Mrs. Gregory was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. She loved quilting, crocheting, word search puzzles and being outside doing yardwork.

She is survived by her three children, James A. "Bo" Gregory of Linbale, TX, Lynn Gregory of Columbia, SC, and Hope McCune (David) of Lexington, SC; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The graveside service for Mrs. Gregory will be held 1 o'clock, Thursday, November 1st at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia with Pastor Shane McDaniel officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 to 12:30 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.

Serving as pallbearers will be David McCune, Jason Hightower, Christopher Timmons, Stephen Clamp, Ben Culler and James Sullivan.
