Frances Jewel Dinkins Robey, 80, of Elgin, SC, passed away on July 25, 2024, at her home. Born on June 24, 1944, in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Lillie Dinkins. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, loving mother, and a great friend; she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Frances thrived on being actively involved in her church and tending to her garden. She frequently gathered with friends to discuss scriptures, seeking to deepen her understanding of the Bible. Most days, she dedicated herself to yard work, ensuring her flowers remained vibrant despite the summer heat. As an excellent cook, Frances often prepared meals for her family, combining her love for cooking with her passion for caring for her loved ones.

She is survived by a daughter, Alice Freeman (Wilbert); a son, Robert Holsomback (Andrea); six grandchildren, David Holsomback (Anne Marie), Jacob Holsomback (Alex), Zachary Holsomback (Haley), Ashley Holsomback, Christy Shatto, and Jenifer Sowers; and nine great grandchildren, Aubrey, Reed, Kori, Ryleigh, Weston, Walker, Scarlett, Gerald, and Angel.
