Kenneth Franklin "Frank" Hunt, 77, of Blythewood, died Sunday, February 26, 2017. Born June 5, 1939, in Columbia, South Carolina, he was a son of the late David Webster Hunt and Della Mae Jolley.
A member of Trinity United Methodist Church, he was a 1957 graduate of Dreher High School and attended the University of South Carolina. He was a real estate developer and enjoyed to be outdoors on his tractor or hunting with his friends. He loved spending time with his family, and liked to teach young people to hunt, and coaching his children's baseball and softball teams.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Carole Montgomery Hunt; children, John Britt Hunt (Alejandro Garcia-Lemos), Julie Hunt Sweet, and Jeffrey Brian Hunt (Melinda Woodson); grandchildren, Julian Alexander "Xan" Hunt, and Delilah Juliette Sweet. Also surviving are brother, David W. Hunt, Jr. (Betty); step-sister, Susan Wharton and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mr. Hunt will be 2 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, February 28th , at Trinity United Methodist Church with The Rev. Clyde Scott and the Rev. Chrisie Reeves-Pendergrass officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. A reception will follow at the Friday Cottage 1830 Henderson Street, Columbia. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
