Obituary

Frank Young Love, 92, of Columbia, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Born in Kershaw County, October 1, 1920, he was a son of the late Charles A. Love and Alma Young Love. Mr. Love served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a faithful member of Denny Terrace Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Betty Burton of Lexington, Elaine (John) Bouknight of Irmo; son, Pete (Betty) Rabon of Blythewood; son-in-law, Ronald C. Burton of Columbia; grandchildren, Ann B. Rabon, Robbie (Christie) Rabon, Carla-Jo R. (Luther) Kneece, Rhonda (Jody) Quattlebaum, Rene' (Jeff) Quattlebaum, Wesley (Jill) Rabon, Matthew (Missy) Rabon, Jode (Nancy) Bouknight, Crystie (Scott) Peeler; sisters, Mary Johnson, Betty Price; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Love was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Starnes Rabon Love; son, Robert Rabon; daughter-in-law, Jerry Rabon; great-granddaughter, Ruby Peeler; brothers, Lt. Lindsey Love, C. A. Love, Jr., and Jim Love; and sister, Grace Christmus.

The funeral service for Mr. Love will be held at 2 o'clock, Friday, December 21, 2012 at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive Columbia. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Denny Terrace Baptist Church, 6324 Dorchester St., Columbia, SC 29203.
