Fred Kirby Trapp, 79, of Columbia, died Sunday, November 19, 2023. Born on November 15, 1944, in Columbia, he was a son of the late William "Pap" Trapp and Juanita Raines Trapp.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Trapp was the owner and operator of Northeast Glass and Door for over 40 years. He liked being outdoors, especially if given the opportunity to go fishing. Mr. Trapp's other hobbies included watching NASCAR, cooking, and assisting his family with projects around their home. His greatest accomplishment was his family and he loved spending time with all his grandchildren. Mr. Trapp was a member of the former Killian Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Duwayne Trapp (Yvette), Angela Trapp Harmon, and Brandon Trapp; grandchildren, Seth Trapp, Faith-Claire Trapp, Taylor Harmon Kyak (Joon), and Kaycee Harmon Abdrabbo (AJ), MaKenzie Trapp and Summer Trapp; and his brother, Tommy Trapp (Florence). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Wilkes Trapp, son-in-law, Pressley Harmon; and seven siblings.
The graveside service for Mr. Trapp will be held at 11 o'clock, Saturday, November 25th at Killian Baptist Church Cemetery, 135 Killian Cemetery Road, Columbia, SC with Dr. David S. Parks officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery beginning at 10 o'clock and briefly following the service.
