Freda Pauline Johnson, 74, of Hopkins, died Monday, June 22, 2015. Born in Bullock County, GA, on April 16, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Walton and Nita Blackburn Flanders. Freda worked with Anchor Lanes and loved her dog, Peanut.

Survivors include her husband, John Johnson, Sr.; sons, John Johnson, Jr. of Columbia, William Johnson of Hopkins, Steve Buchanan of Columbia; her daughter, Paula (Wayne) Quinn of Blythewood; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her sister, Wylene (Sam) Bouleware of Jenkinsville; her brother, Jeff Flanders of Columbia. In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her son, Rusty Buchanan; and brother, Arlie Flanders.

A memorial service for Mrs. Johnson will be held 11 o'clock, Friday, June 26th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenhom Rd, Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10 o'clock.
