Frederick Jackson, 43, of Blythewood, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones. Born on September 17, 1976, on a military base in Okinawa, Japan, he was a son of the late Alvin L. and Paulette Bracey Jackson. Fred was a military kid who lived all over the world and the US before settling in South Carolina. A DJ by trade, his passion was music. He loved to play it, listen to it, and throw a great party. Fred was a loving husband, a devoted father to his two sons, and a great friend.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Alexander; sons, Simeon and Emory Jackson; brother, Russell Jackson; sister, Jamie Bracey; uncle and aunt (his adoptive parents), Gregory and Debra Jackson; grandmother, Mamie Jackson; step mother, Betty Jackson; as well as numerous other family members.
Fred was greatly loved and will be greatly missed!

A private memorial service will be held for Fred. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
