Dr. Gal G. Margalit, 62, passed away on the night of Thursday, November 9, 2017 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 13th at 2 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Graveside services will follow at the Columbia Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery.

Dr. Margalit was born in Haifa, Israel in 1954. He practiced medicine throughout the state of South Carolina for 31 years. He was beloved by patients, colleagues, family and friends and was known for his bright sense of humor and comforting demeanor- as well as for his encyclopedic knowledge of history and cars.

He is survived by his family- Dina, Nir, Andrew, Michelle, Jennifer, and Jessica Margalit, as well
as his many beloved friends near and far.

Dr. Margalit was an unparalleled source of love, support, and encouragement to everyone he
ever met. He was so incredibly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
