Obituary
Gary L. Rowe, 70, of Ridgeway, formerly of West Columbia, died Thursday, May 28, 2020. Born in Columbia, SC on February 19, 1950, he was a son of the late Alfred LaBorde and Clara Gertrude Medlin Rowe.
Gary attended Brooklyn Cayce High School and spent his life as a residential contractor. In his free time he enjoyed playing music, especially the drums. He was known as a drummer, and played in many bands. Gary was an entertainer at heart, always putting a smile on someone's face and making them laugh.
Survivors include his daughters, Keister Rowe Sasser (Jay) and Karrie Melton; grandchildren, Anna Brigman, Blythe Melton, Charlice "Charli" Melton; sister, Doris Williams.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 5 siblings, Billy Rowe, Barbara Ann Beck, David Rowe, Tony Rowe and Larry Rowe.
In accordance with Mr. Rowe's wishes, no services will be held. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
