Gaywinard S. Spratlin, of Charleston, formerly of Chapin, died on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Seymour and Leona Neal Seymour. She was a member of Chapin Baptist Church and retired from Fort Jackson after many years with the Army Airforce Exchange Service.

Survivors include her son, Robert "Bob" Oneal Spratlin, Jr. (Debbie), of Edisto Island, SC; granddaughter, Lisa Spratlin Hoffmann, of Ackworth, GA; great-grandchildren, Emily Hoffmann and Walker Hoffmann; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Oneal Spratlin, Sr.; and a sister, Odetta Perry.

The graveside service for Mrs. Spratlin will be private at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
