Norma Gene "Genie" Buff, 70, of Columbia, died Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge. Born in Columbia on April 2, 1948, she was a daughter of Norma Horton Buff and the late Eugene F. Buff. Miss Buff was a member of the last graduating class of the old University High School, and retired from the General Services Division of state government.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Jan Clark (Jared); brothers, Richard F. Buff (Susan) and Christopher F. Buff; nephews, Scott Buff (Natalie) and Brian Buff (Laura); nieces, Staci Robinson (Andrew), Dana Martin and Amanda Arave; five grand-nieces and nephews.

A private service for Genie will be held, Saturday, July 7th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service.
