George (Edwin) Seastrunk, Jr., 56, of Columbia, died on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Born in Columbia, SC, on January 26, 1967, he was the son of the late George Edwin Seastrunk, Sr. and Rhonda Lathrop Seastrunk. Edwin was a graduate of Richland Northeast High School and employed in the family business, Seastrunk Electric, for over 40 years.

Survivors include his sister, Sonya Seastrunk Jenkinson; the love of his life, Anne Brazell Seastrunk; nieces Bailey Lewter, Sarah Anne Arnold, Taylor Brazell Knoke, Emily Brazell Tallant; nephews Cameron Lewter, Ryan Brazell, Noah Arnold, Cole and Cross Jenkinson; uncles, Rev. Ret. Lt. Col. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr. (Sarah) and Robert E. Seastrunk; and aunts Mary Ann Jacobs and Clara Belle Jacobs; and his "Ma" Vernetha Wannamaker who is to be acknowledged for her unwavering love and dedication to Edwin and the entire Seastrunk family.

Anyone that knew Edwin knows he never met a stranger. As a Master Electrician, he made many connections over the years across the Midlands and throughout the State. He had the 'gift of gab.' Edwin loved the outdoors and especially the Sapphire and Cashiers, NC areas. He also had a love for Boykin Spaniels and especially his "girls" - Amy, Cashiers, Sapphire and Ruby.

The funeral service for Mr. Seastrunk will be held at 12 o'clock, Monday, June 5th, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1715 Bull St, Columbia, SC, with The Rev. Dr. Tony Metze officiating. Burial will follow the service in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service in the fellowship hall of the church beginning at 11 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
