Obituary
George Albert Ward, 81, of Newberry, formerly of Columbia, died peacefully, Saturday, January 11, 2020. Born December 28, 1938 in Bristol, TN he was a son of the late Milton and Sally Ward.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ada Thelma Christley Ward; a daughter. Carey Lynn Ward Bright; sons, George Raymond Jones and Chris Leugene Ward; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Ward will be private. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
