Georgine Eichinger Mohar, 89, of Columbia, died Sunday, November 13, 2016. Born January 12, 1927, in Dingolfing, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Georg and Anna Eichinger Pollner.

Mrs. Mohar was a loving wife and mother, who grew up in Germany and married her husband, a US soldier. She was proud to become a US citizen and enjoyed working in the garden.

Survivors include her sons, Steven Mohar and Mike Mohar; sisters, Lotte Glotzbach and Anna-Marie Donner; and grandson, Michael Surber. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vladimir James Mohar; and daughter Cynthia Mohar.

The funeral service for Mrs. Mohar will be held at 10:30 o'clock, Friday, November 18th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 17th, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
