Obituary
Gerald Ray Ritchie, 63, of Elgin, died on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Born in Columbia, SC, on May 8, 1959, he was a son of Henry Wallace Pressley and the late Kathryn Thomas Pressley. Mr. Ritchie was a graduate of WJ Keenan High School and worked with Sheet Metal and Pipe Fitting. He enjoyed sports and fishing in his spare time.
In addition to his father, survivors include his brother, James C. (Bodie) Ritchie; niece, Nicole Kirkley (Michael); great-niece, Kate Kirkley; and great-nephew, Rhett Kirkley; as well as a host of extended family members.
The family will hold a private service at a later date. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
