Gladys Medlin Neese, 87, of Elgin, died Sunday, July 5, 2015. Born in Richland County, SC, on May 12, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Ellisor and Susie Mae Medlin Ellisor. Gladys was a member of Sisters in Christ, and Royal Pines Church. Her legacy was her family, and she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved God, her children and her church.

Survivors include children, Laura Sue (Larry) Ford of Elgin, Thurman (Carlene) Medlin, Charlie (Alma Stephenson) Medlin, Larry (Lynne) Medlin, all of Elgin, and Terri Riker of Dunedin, FL; 39 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great grandchildren; half-sisters, Debbie and Dianne; half-brother, Irby; as well as numerous other family and friends. In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by brothers, Riley, Leonard, and JC Ellisor; and her great granddaughter, Toni Ford.

The funeral service for Mrs. Neese will be held 4 o'clock, Wednesday, July 8th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Rd, Columbia, with The Rev. Nancy Brazell officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 3 o'clock.
