Glen Franklin Jackson, 51, of Lugoff, died Friday, January 6, 2023. Born May 22, 1971, in Columbia, he is a son of Carol Jean Hall Jackson and the late James Franklin Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a very talented welder and carpenter. He was employed for many years in the residential construction industry. Mr. Jackson enjoyed being outside, fishing, and NASCAR.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his sister, Carolyn Denise Keaton (Yale); niece, Angela Danielle Keaton; best friend and partner, Diane Mack Sharpe; and numerous cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Duain Jackson and James Richard Seawell; as well as his nephew, Michael Keaton.

The funeral service for Mr. Jackson and his mother, Carol Hall Jackson, who survived him by 6 days, will be held at 11 o'clock, Thursday, January 19th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens of Columbia. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
