Grady Lee Branham, 92, of Columbia, died, Monday, July 8, 2024. Born May 10, 1932, in Blaney, SC, he was a son of the late Levi and Maggie Atkerson Branham.
Mr. Branham founded Branham Plumbing in 1969 and sold it in 2001 and was involved in starting many other successful businesses throughout his long career as a self-employed business owner. He loved working and counseling his employees. In his later years he loved being an on-site "superintendent" on Nathan's jobs with Northeast Custom Homes and other business ventures. He especially enjoyed riding and checking job sites with Ronnie Flynn. He always had a funny story and wisdom to share. He was a member of Sawneys Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Branham; son, Nathan Branham (Phaedra Leidecker Branham); grandchildren, Mason Branham, Lauren Pansegrau, Reed Branham (Alexis Ware Branham) and Cam Branham; brother, Gene Branham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Kelly Branham; his siblings and their spouses, Arthur Branham (Ellen), Bernice Dixon (Ross), and Rudolph Branham (Mary), Rachel Huggins (W.T.). He is also survived by many special friends, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like thank all the members of Pruitt Hospice and the private CNAs, especially Price, Melissa, Takita, and Della. Thank you to Kim Brewer Branham, friend and companion. Special thanks and love to Grady's best friend and long-time buddy Ronnie Flynn for the many years of friendship and joy he brought to Pop.

The funeral service for Mr. Branham will be held at 2 o'clock on Thursday, July 11th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1 o'clock at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sawneys Creek Baptist Original Cemetery in Ridgeway.
