Grady Dupree Majors, 94, of Columbia, died Friday, October 30, 2015. The son of late Kelly and Lucy Majors, he was born February 15, 1921 in Black, AL. Grady was married 72 years to the late Ruby Plunkett. Retired as a Lt. Colonel in the US Army, he was a veteran of World War II, the Korean and Vietnam wars. Grady's first love in life was the Lord Jesus Christ. Teaching Sunday School and visiting the guests and homebound members of the church is what he enjoyed the most. He was a member and retired deacon at North Trenholm Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Glenn (Linda) Majors; daughters, Jackie Brown, Kathy (Gerry) Dunlap, and Pam Stewart; grandchildren, Sydney Gaddis, Jennifer and Katie Dunlap, Kimberly South, Sarah Claxton, John, Josh, and Jeremy Majors.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 o'clock, Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at North Trenholm Baptist Church. Burial will be at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, 11020 Two Notch Road, Elgin, SC. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service, beginning at 10 o'clock. Memorials can be made to North Trenholm Baptist Church, 6515 North Trenholm Road, Columbia, SC, 29206.
