Graeme S. Hurley, 45, of Lexington, died Thursday, April 16, 2020. Born March 30, 1975 (Easter Sunday) in Augusta, Georgia, he was a son of Billy Bevel and Joni Daniels Bevel.
Graeme loved music (Bon Jovi, Elvis, and Queen), movies (Star Wars, Star Trek, Young Guns, and Dukes of Hazzard). Most of all Graeme loved his family and friends. He would have wanted us to list them all and tell them he loved them very much. Graeme never let his mental health issues stop him. He attended Bridges Club House for over 25 years. He loved everyone there but especially his beloved "Jean Ann", who was with him and his mother through everything.
Graeme, you will be forever loved and missed, but never forgotten. You brought joy, kindness, and laughter to everyone you met. Fly high our sweet son, we will love you always.
The family would also like to thank all the caregivers, Lexington Extended Care and MSA Hospice for their love and care.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his brothers, Julian Bevel (Stacy) and Jesse Bevel (Crystal), Paul Peavy (Vicki); Aunt Janet Sox and Uncle Sonny Sox, Aunt Claudia Gibson, Uncle Danny Shuler; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his biological father, Lesley M. Hurley; maternal grandparents, Willard and Delores Daniels; paternal grandparents, Franklin and Virginia McCormick; grandparents, William and Juanita Bevel; and Aunt Belinda Shuler.
Due to the Governor's limitations on public meetings, a memorial service will be held later.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Graeme Hurley's honor to Bridges Clubhouse, a program of Mental Health America, SC. 2105 Commerce Drive, Cayce S.C. 29033.
