Gregg Rutledge Liles, 55, of Columbia, died on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Born in Albemarle, NC, on August 2, 1965, he was a son of Richard V. Liles, Jr., M.D and the late Ann Ross Abbey Liles. Gregg attended Aiken Preparatory School for grades seven through nine and later graduated from Blue Ridge Academy in Charlottesville, VA. He loved to be at the beach, go out to eat or watch movies and enjoy music. An avid collector, Gregg loved to find anything related to Star Wars, computers or technology. He was a member of Shandon Baptist Church where he was baptized.

In addition to his father, survivors include his wife, Tammie Lee McLaurin Liles; sister, Abbey L. Campbell (Mike); father and mother-in-law, Ross and Brenda McLaurin; sister-in-law, Sandra Lee McLaurin Spigner (Ral); nieces, Rachel Grace Campbell and Macie Lee Leeth (David); and nephew, Hunter Spigner.

The funeral service for Mr. Liles will be held at 11 o'clock, Thursday, March 18th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with the Rev. Barry Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Liles Family Cemetery, Lilesville, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 10 o'clock.
