Hakim Barry Frazier, 23, of Columbia, died Friday, January 27, 2017. Hakim was born in Manhattan, NY, on July 28, 1993. He moved to Columbia in 2012 and graduated from Dreher High School, Class of 2013. Hakim was an All American High School Quarterback and attended SC State University on a football scholarship.

Survivors include his mom; Steffany Boyd; sisters, Tyriecha Camble, Kiara Lundy, Dabriana Boyd, Tiffany Gantt, Celeste Frazier, April Harris, Chyna Harris; brothers, Quintin Boyd, Rashad Frazier, Rakeem Hampton, Ronnie Hampton, and Raymond Hampton; grandparents, Larry and JoEtta Schoeler; aunts, Denise Gaither and Amanda Anderson; God-sister, Destinee Tracht; God-brother, Brandon Tracht; special friends, Brianna Guy, Crystal and Darrell Tracht

His funeral will be held 10 o'clock, Tuesday, January 31st at Northstar Christian Center, 711 Longtown Road, Columbia, with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather for visitation prior to the service beginning at 9 o'clock. Those attending are encouraged to wear Friday night football attire. Immediately following the interment at Greenlawn, a BBQ to celebrate Hakim's life will be held at the home of his mom, Steffany Boyd.

A memorial service will also be held 4:30 o'clock, Friday, February 3rd at Epworth Memorial United Methodist Church on the Millwood Campus of Epworth Childrens' Home. In lieu of any flowers, memorials may be made to Hakim Frazier Youth Empowerment Fund, Epworth Childrens' Home, PO Box 50466, Columbia, SC 29250. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
