Obituary

Harriet Crawford Sifford, 90, widow of the late SCPO John E. Sifford, Jr., US Navy (Ret.), of Columbia, died on Monday, February 3, 2025. Born on September 18, 1934, she was a daughter of the late William Herbert Crawford and Mabel Currence Crawford. She was a member of Forest Lake Presbyterian Church where she was involved with several ladies in originating a large volume church library. She enjoyed most of his location assignments and made the best of the less desirable assignments. During the family's US Navy years, she and Earl were active in local churches, and she served as a Red Cross volunteer at local US Navy clinics.

Survivors include her son, Patrick M. Sifford; daughter-in-law, Patricia Park Sifford (widow of John, III); grandchildren, Jennifer Rowley (Andrew), John Sifford, IV (Jennifer); as well as her great grandchildren, Brenden and Carolina Sifford and Cameron Rowley. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, John E. Sifford, III and Paul Lynn Sifford.
