Harvey T. "Buddy" Brazell, 87, of Columbia, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Born in Columbia on June 5 1925, he was a son of the late Louis Brazell and Ollie Ellisor Brazell. Buddy loved spending time with his family and enjoyed the great outdoors, especially fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Anderson Brazell; daughters, Edna (Paul) Terry, Debbie Mayo, Patty (Stanley) Allen, Tammy Brazell; sons, Thomas (Patty) Brazell, Donald (Dale) Brazell, Chris (Paulette) Adkins; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; half-sisters, Barbara and Mary Alice. In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by a half-sister, Shelba.

A graveside service for Mr. Brazell will be held at 3 o'clock, Friday, May 3rd at Lexington Memorial Cemetery, Augusta Hwy., Lexington. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Thursday evening at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.
