Obituary

Hazel Mae Burnette Anders Bodenheimer, 83, of Columbia, died Monday, July 7, 2014. Born June 15, 1931, in Asheville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Kezzie Williams Burnette.

Survivors include her sons, Bruce (Janette Steves) Anders of Elgin, Howard Ray (Tammy Beaudet) Anders of Lugoff, David Bodenheimer of Columbia, and Robbie (Jan Nix) Lowe of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Anne and Danny Anders; as well as several great grandchildren; and her sister, Helma (Richard) Jenkins of Virginia Beach, VA. In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, William W. "Walker" Bodenheimer; a son, William J. Bodenheimer; sisters, Hildred Barrett and Helen Anders; and step-brother, Jack Sales.

A graveside service for Mrs. Bodenheimer will be held 3:30 o'clock, Thursday, July 10th, at Ward Hill Cemetery, Davis Station, SC. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1:30 o'clock, Thursday afternoon, prior to the service, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia.
