Helen S. Brown, 91, of Ridgeway, died Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Born February 27, 1932, in Marmet, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Scragg and Blanche Stewart Scragg. She was a former member of St. James United Methodist Church and Union United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brown was a current member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was formerly active in the Emanon Class, Hill Climbers Senior Group, OASIS Choir, Ruby Brown Circle, Sewing Group, and Book Club.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Marion Lee Brown, children, Joyce Fowler (Robert), Robert Brown (Myriam), Lana Branham (Ken), and Beverly Cobb (Rhys); grandchildren, Shannon, Katy, Scot, Kristi, Bucky, and Lizzy; as well as her great grandchildren, Kenny, Lucie, Chase, Patrick, Cecelia, Elliot, Mia and Josey. She also leaves behind her siblings, John Scragg, David Scragg and Barbara Comer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bill Scragg, Carol Norman and Lynn Swackhammer.

A private graveside service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
