Helen Ellison Lail, 92, of Columbia, SC passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mattie Ellison.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Erskine (David), Donna Sugarman, Denise Young and Susan Miller; grandchildren Ray Caywood, Tony Caywood, David Caywood (predeceased) Matthew Sugarman and Lindsey Sloop; as well as numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Hughes Young; and late husband, Jim Lail.

A funeral service for Helen will be held at 1 o'clock on Tuesday, February 25th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
