Helen Lucile Tindall Mooneyham, 89, of Columbia, died Friday, February 22, 2013. Born October 16, 1923 in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late John Tindall and Annie M. Shealy Tindall.
Mrs. Mooneyham was a lifelong member of Crossroads Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a member of the choir, as well as a WMU and VBS director.
Survivors include her sons, Ray David (Carolyn) Mooneyham, James R. "Bobby" (Glenda) Mooneyham; daughter, Mary Lou (Richard) Jackson; special nephew, Al (Christy) Gilliam; grandchildren, Dave, Scott, Keith, Kathy, and Jason Mooneyham, Susan Gantt, Marie Kirlough, Stacie Sox, Travis Jackson, Lena Gilliam, and Beth Mathis; fourteen great grandchildren; and brothers, Frank, Roy, Alvin, and Larry Tindall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Mooneyham; sisters, Margaret, Dorothy, Johnnie Mae, and Edna; a brother, Jack Tindall; grandson, Paul Jackson; and great grandson, Luke Jackson.
A funeral for Mrs. Mooneyham will be held, 2 o'clock, Monday, February 25th , at Crossroads Baptist Church, 2500 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, with The Rev. Shane Phillips and The Rev. Russ Painter officiating. Burial will follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr., Columbia the night prior from 4:30 to 6:30 o'clock. Memorials may be made to the church.
