Henry Glenn Edwards, 90, of Blythewood, died Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Born on January 3, 1930, in Union County, NC, he was a son of the late Ernest Crawford and Kate Adeline Bass Edwards. He was a US Army Veteran that proudly served his country during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Edwards worked his entire career in sheet metal sales with various companies. He was a member of Killian Baptist Church, where he served on several committees over the last 30 years. Mr. Edwards loved spending time on his pontoon and at his lake house. He was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed cheering on the Gamecocks and watching NASCAR. Mr. Edwards spent his spare time working in his yard, tending to his garden, or on home building projects.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary S. Edwards; his children, Lueva E. Cameron (Davis) of Columbia, Karen E. Ruff of Ridgeway, and Thomas C. Edwards of Elgin; grandchildren, Daniel Ruff, Krista Edwards, and Geoffrey Cameron; great grandchild, Connor Oldenburg; as well as his sister, Wanda Ann Nance. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Edwards.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, a private funeral service will be held for Mr. Edwards. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
