Hermann Odell Roberts, 66, of Columbia died Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Born in Fussen, Germany, he was a son of Elisa Maria Edule Roberts and the late Odell Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a graduate of Dentsville High School, served in the US Air Force, and was retired from SCE&G.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Cassels Roberts; daughter, Paula K. Earhart (Jodey); son, Joseph O. Roberts (Nancy Loveall); three grandchildren; his mother, Elisa Roberts; and brother, Billy L. Roberts.

The funeral service for Mr. Roberts will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, July 3rd at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, with Chaplain Paul St. John of the Richland Co. Sheriff's Department officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 o'clock.
