Hilda Lucille Belger Oswald, 68, of Columbia S.C., died Friday, September 29, 2017 of a cancer-born illness. Born on September 30, 1948 in Jasper County S.C., she was a daughter of the late Moye M. Belger and Mary Lou Shull Belger. Hilda was a graduate of Eau Claire High School Class of 1966, and a member of Eau Claire Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Bruce J. Oswald; daughter, Tammy Anne Oswald Brackett (Jacob) of Lexington S.C.; son, Michael Bruce Oswald (Evelyn) of Longview, T.X.; grandchildren, Danielle Grey Brackett of Lexington S.C., Katherine Alexandria Oswald and Brandon Jackson Oswald of Longview, T.X. She is also survived by her sister, Delores E. Moree (Herbert Lee) of Lexington S.C., and her brother, M. Mark Belger (Teresa) of Lexington S.C.

The service for Mrs. Oswald will be held at 1 o'clock, Wednesday, October 11th at Eau Claire Baptist Church and will greet friends following. The family request memorials be made to Eau Claire Baptist Church, 4427 Main St., Columbia, S.C. 29203. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is assisting the family.
