Mrs. Hildegard Datz Myers, 82, of Columbia, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016. Born on April 15, 1933 in Mainz, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Siegmund and Dora Lohrom Datz. Hildegard was a loving mother and grandmother, and she will be dearly missed.

Hildegard is survived by a daughter, Cordia Lutz; sons, Joe Myers, and James Myers; granddaughters, Lisa Lutz (Mike), Sherra Turner (Aaron), and Megan Turner (Todd); and brother, Joseph Datz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Robert L. Myers; and by a daughter, Deborah Hornaday.

The funeral service for Mrs. Myers will be held at 11 o'clock, Friday, January 29th, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, with visitation immediately following. A committal service will be held at 12:30 o'clock at Memorial Gardens of Columbia, 9301 Wilson Blvd., Columbia.
