Howard W. "Mike" Moody, Jr., 93, of Chapin, SC went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2014. The only child of the late Howard Wilbur Moody, Sr. and Daisy Lorick Moody, he was born in Columbia on July 4, 1921. Howard graduated from Columbia High School, attended the University of South Carolina and served in the Army during WWII. He was the owner of Moody's Auto Supply in North Columbia for more than 40 years. He was a member of the North Columbia Business Men's Association and was active in PTA work at McCants Elementary School where he also served as a Cub Scout Leader. In 1942 he married the love of his life, Dorothy Ellen Rivers, who passed away on September 20, 2014. They enjoyed square dancing with the Happy Hoppers for 12 years.

Survivors include sons, Thomas Howard Moody, David Lewis Moody; daughters, Dianne Moody Jones of Tampa, FL, and Donna Kaye Tarallo; grandchildren, Dawn Connelly, Kelli Shelton, Kimberly Mann, Thomas Moody, Heather Tarallo, Dr. Austin Moody, Jessica Wyndham, and Kayla Moody; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Marie Connelly; grandchildren, Melanie Connelly, and Robert Thomas Moody.

A graveside service will be held at 2 o'clock, Friday, December 19th at Bush River Memorial Gardens, Field of Honor with The Rev. Albert L. Cox officiating. The family wishes to thank the staff of CM Tucker Nursing Center, Stone Pavilion, for their loving care.
