Hyllaerye Yoercke Ford, 45, of Irmo, died Friday, August 19, 2022. Born October 18, 1976, in Sumter, SC, he was a son of the late Peter Hilary and Sue Foster Ford.

Hyll graduated high school in 1994 from Wilson Hall in Sumter, SC. He then attended the University of South Carolina where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Hyll would continue his education at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy where he earned his PharmD in 2010. He went on to become a pharmacist and was employed for a few retail and clinical pharmacies in the area. Hyll also worked for the South Carolina Cancer Center, was a published researcher, and was a member of the American Association of Cancer Research. His greatest accomplishment was being a wonderful father to his children. Hyll cherished every opportunity to spend time with his family. He attended church at The Basilica of Saint Peter and enjoyed reading in his spare time.

Survivors include his wife, Lina Ford; children, Madeline and Peter Ford, and his brother, Erik Ford (Karen).

The funeral service for Hyll will be held at 6 o'clock Thursday, August 25th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 5 o'clock.
