Imogene "Jeannie" Brown George, 89, of Columbia, died Thursday, July 2, 2015. Born in Anadarko, OK on April 24, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Urey Calvert and Emma Jane Freeman Brown.

Jeannie was married to Wallace Howard "Wally" George in 1946. They resided in Oklahoma City, Ponca City, and Bartlesville, Oklahoma and had three children, including their surviving daughter, Diana. Mike and Steve preceded Jeannie and Wally in death. While Wally spent 32 years working for Phillips 66, Jeannie managed their home. They were both founding members of Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church. Jeannie served in the baby nursery and in the kitchen and hospitality ministry of the church. She also served on several mission teams where she prepared meals while others repaired and built churches. After Wally's death in 2004, Jeannie moved to Columbia, SC, to enjoy her daughter and grandchildren. She loved Shandon Baptist, her missions Ministry, and her Sunday school class.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diana and The Rev. L. Barry Gray of Columbia, SC; grandsons, Joshua Gray (Jenny) of Columbia, SC, Steven George (Mindy) of Lexington, OK; granddaughter, Sara Gray of Columbia, SC; great-grandson, Brycen Gray; great-granddaughters, Kinley Grey and Santana George.

A service will be held at 2 o'clock, Thursday, July 9th at Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church, 5111 Nowata Road, Bartlesville, OK. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK, will be private.
