Ione Katherine Johnson-Dulin, 92, of Columbia, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Born November 27, 1922 in Stillwater, MN, she was a daughter of the late William R. and Maud Louise Hill Moelter. Although her roots were in a small Minnesota town, Ione always deeply enjoyed her global travels as a military spouse, and she was thrilled to experience the cultures of Europe, Asia, and various regions of the United States with her family. She enjoyed travel, cruising, and antiquing. A long standing member of the Settler's Club and the Columbia Garden Club, she was a Master Gardner and flower judge. Ione was an avid bridge player and reader, and deeply appreciated the volunteers of the Richland County Public Library who delivered books to her monthly.

Survivors include her daughters, Kitty Farnell (Ed), Mary Watts (James "Buddy"); grandchildren, Mary Katherine Farnell; Maj. Edwin A. Farnell (Dr. Allison Smith-Farnell); great-grandchildren, Clara Grace, Ainsley Elise, Madeline Brooke, and Helena Kate Farnell; and sister, Lois "Dollye" Grafenstein. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Dewey Johnson; second husband, Wilbur Dulin; sisters, Ruby Pauley, and Pearl Johnson; and brothers, Roy Moelter, and Harvey Moelter.

The service will be held at 11 o'clock, Friday, February 13th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with The Rev. Dr. Cathy Jamieson-Ogg officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Richland Library Foundation, 1431 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
