Irene Bryant Brazell, 96, of Columbia, died Thursday, June 14, 2018. Born January 11, 1922 in Plant City, Florida, she was a daughter of the late John Troy and Annie Vanvlockhovan Bryant. Mrs. Brazell loved animals and raised Yorkie's for many years. She was an active member of her church where she formerly taught Sunday school. Mrs. Brazell was a true example of beauty, grace, and kindness.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Allen (Frank), Billy Brazell (Jeanette), Mack Brazell (Dale); grandchildren, Billy, Christal, Angela, Allison, Rodger, Kelly, Aimee; as well as sixteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lever Brazell; daughter, Jean Carter; granddaughters, Kimberly Donna Brazell and Sherri Martin; as well as her siblings.

The funeral service for Mrs. Brazell will be held 12o'clock, Tuesday, June 19th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens of Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11 o'clock.
